The World Archery Youth Championships is a premier international event that has been happening since 1991 and brings together the best young archers from around the globe. Held every two years, it provides a platform for athletes under the age of 21 to compete at the highest level, showcasing their talent, skill, and dedication to the sport. The event fosters sportsmanship, camaraderie, and cultural exchange, while playing a pivotal role in the development of future archery champions. The WAYC represent a stepping stone for many archers on their path to senior-level competition and Olympic dreams.
The competition rounds at international events use the recognizable yellow, red, blue, black and white targets set at distances of 70 metres for recurve archers and 50 metres for compound archers.
